Learning & Development

Enhance Solutions are known for their dynamic and highly interactive programs. Our workshops utilise adult learning processes, and therefore include a high level of involvement.

All L&D programs provided by Enhance Solutions are customised to the clients’ needs and include relevant programs pertaining to Health and Safety, Risk Management and leadership in both of these areas. We also offer learning and development programs in generic leadership capabilities.

Some of the workshops we regularly facilitate include:

Leadership in Risk Management/Health and Safety

At Enhance Solutions we view the development of a positive Risk Management culture, which includes health and safety, as a journey. The front line leadership workshops are aimed at providing front line supervisors with practical skills in the application of both health and safety and Risk Management principles.

These workshops can be tailored to meet your requirements and can range from one to four days in duration. Whenever possible our programs incorporate a participant project, which encourages those who attend to apply the knowledge they gain in the workshop.

These workshops include elements of technical tools such as risk identification and management, incident/event management, conducting audits and inspections, as well as modules such as communication, dealing with conflict, performance management and counselling.

Combining Risk Management and health and safety with a leadership program gives the leadership component an anchor, something that participants can understand and apply in their day to day role.

Enterprise Wide Risk Management

We offer a wide variety of risk management workshops which range from three hour introductions to enterprise wide risk management through to three day workshops that are aimed at the leaders of risk management within your business.

These workshops utilise your risk management processes and are practically based.

OHS Committee Workshop

The OHS Committee Workshop complements the Health and Safety leadership workshops and is aimed at the OHS Committee having a strategic approach toward their activities, which contributes to constant movement toward a culture committed to safety.

Often the OHS committee spends 80% of its time considering what has happened (hazards and incidents reported) and 20% on what needs to happen. This should be the other way around.

This workshop is aimed at creating an effective OHS committee with clear terms of reference and a twelve month strategy that outlines the key areas that need to be addressed. This strategic approach provides members with constructive action as well as a methodology of measuring effectiveness and progress.

Hazard Management

Our approach to hazard management is a practical one based on your company’s hazard management process. Prior to the workshop we will gain an understanding of your process, forms etc. and we will utilise these in the workshop. We will also focus on the types of hazards that are most prevalent in your business.

Participants undertake a practical hazard management exercise to help strengthen their theory learning.

If your organisation does not have a hazard management process we can assist in the development of one that will suit your industry type and hazards.

Incident Management

In this workshop we spend some time on the theory and process of incident management using your organisation’s processes and forms.

We follow this with a case study based on what could happen in your organisation during which participants are required to undertake an incident investigation. This is a practical process which includes the use of interview techniques, identification of key contributing factors and root causes and identifying suggestions for future prevention.
